Welcome to the Cordoni Maser Winery, we’re so excited you discovered us! We’re an Americana-Italiana Family finding our way in the wonderful World of Fine Artisan Wine & Organic Olive Oil in Montone, Umbria – the Great Heart of Italy.

Celebrating nearly 100 years of history, Poggio Maiolo, the hillside home of Cordoni Maser Winery, has progressed from a mid-century granary for residents of the medieval town of Montone, to an organic winery in the early 2000s, originally founded by the Fortunati Family, leaders in environmental protection and technological agricultural research.

In 2024, our Cordoni Maser Family was fortunate enough to acquire Poggio Maiolo in all of its glory, with high hopes to take the property to the next level. In continued partnership with the Fortunati Family, we are utilizing cutting edge agriculture research and technology to deliver fine artisan wine and organic olive oil to our friends and family in our local and nearby communities surrounding the heartland of Montone, Umbria; our coastal community in Marcelli, Marche; and our American homeland in Knoxville, Tennessee.

VIN-LOCAL

Throughout our travels of Italy, when visiting a new region, we always ask to try their Local Wines. For us, it is the ultimate way to literally take in the breadth and beauty of a region, to taste the terroir, to become one with the local community. At Cordoni Maser, our goal is just that, to deliver the Magic of Montone in every glass of our Fine Artisan Wines and every drop of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil – all organically grown in the Green Heart of Italy.

With over 100 acres of land, Poggio Maiolo features 15 acres of organically grown grapes and 800 olive trees, along with 2 Truffle Forests, and 2 Historic Ruins — all perfectly situated between the Upper Tiber Valley and the Umbrian-Marche Apennines. Our small boutique production of around 10-15 thousand bottles annually, provides just enough wine to serve our VIN-LOCAL communities.
